Our Team

  • Chris Jonlick - Owner/Artist (he/him)

Chris grew up in Walla Walla. He spent a few years out of state exploring varying passions before he relocated back to Walla Walla to settle down in his hometown. Chris has been an artist in the Walla Walla community for many years; his paintings have been featured in many local art shows and he has designed and painted several of the murals you see around town. When Chris found a new medium in tattooing, he discovered a way to express himself creatively while also connecting on a deeper level with clients. Chris is passionate about creating custom designs and loves meeting with clients to come up with a concept that takes their initial idea and turns it into something truly special that speaks to them. His preferred style is neotraditional with a twist, adding splashes of realism, geometric, abstract, and pattern work. In his free time, Chris enjoys mountain biking, tinkering with RC cars, and spending time with his friends and family.

  • Mandy Jonlick - Owner (she/her)

Mandy grew up in Eugene, Oregon and originally found her way to Walla Walla to attend Whitman College. After graduating and spending a few years in the corporate world in Portland, Mandy found herself pulled back to Walla Walla by the ever-growing wine industry and small-town charm. Mandy’s passion for art started at a young age; her mom is an artist and taught art classes out of their home. When Mandy met Chris, her passion for art was renewed and she began doing art again more regularly. Mandy’s passion for the tattoo industry grew dramatically when she learned more about the need for a different kind of tattoo shop; she was inspired by the idea of being able to celebrate art and creativity while also creating a safe, professional, and welcoming space for everyone in the community. Mandy has also found a love for the art of tattoo personally, but is currently taking a break from tattooing to focus on raising the newest Walla Walla Tattoo Co. team member – her and Chris’s baby boy!

  • Samara Clay - Artist (she/her)

Samara grew up near Seattle and moved to Walla Walla in 2017. She spends most of her free time drawing and watching cartoons and anime. She has always loved drawing characters with strong outlines and bright colors and has a background in digital art in that style. She has fun tattooing most styles but especially enjoys doing anime. Samara always thought tattooing would be an awesome way to be able to do art as a career but still get to work with people, and when she met Chris and Mandy and discovered their shop, it was a perfect opportunity to start.

  • Jessica Aspiri - Apprentice (she/her)

Jessica grew up and went to school in Walla Walla. After school, she lived on the Oregon coast for a year before returning home. She spends most of her free time reading and hanging out with her two kids. Her art journey started with hand lettering and digital art. She has designed, printed and sold many designs on Etsy and did some work in the crypto art market before diving into the world of tattooing. Chris has known Jessica for years and encouraged her to give tattooing a shot due to her art background - she finally broke down and found a love for the art form. She enjoys giving people a piece of art that they love and that helps them express themselves.
